San Francisco de Asís Mission death certificate, 1815 July 30.

Death certificate letter for an Indian convert from the Santa Clara Mission named Secundino, signed by Father Ramon Abella, an apostolic preacher of the College of San Fernando of Mexico and minister of the mission at San Francisco, California. The letter certifies that Abella gave Secundino, who had died in the prison of the adjoining presidio the previous day, was given ecclesiastical burial rites on July 27,1815 including the holy sacraments of penance and extreme unction. The certificate was listed as number 3818 in the second book of the dead of the mission.
